High voltage Self amalgamating tapes are rubber based,which are non-tacky making them very easy to use and apply. Product characteristics and properties also relates to the type of rubber used in the construction of the tape. They are used particularly for waterproofing, corrosion protection, jointing and repair of cables.They are devided to PIB rubber and EPR rubber.

The polyisobutylene(PIB) rubber based tapes have excellent self-fusing properties. However, generally the PIB products are used more for low voltage applications because the service temperature and electrical properties are generally lower than the EPR rubber based tapes.

The Ethylene Propylene(EPR) rubber based tapes also have excellent amalgamation properties but with better levels of temperature performance and electrical properties are more often the first choice for higher voltage cable applications.

Features:

1, The tape is based on material which has permanent elasticity.

2, It is resistant to UV rays, ageing, corrosion, water absorption and other solvents.

3, Normal temperature level of the tape is 90°C,however it can withstand emergency cable overload from 130°C.

Applications:

1,The black ( EPR ) rubber self fusing tapeis used for recovering of semiconducting layers at high voltage shielding cables.

2,widely used for joints of cable wires, also for terminal insulation and waterproof sealed off It resist a voltage up to 69KV.
